The incompetence of California Governor Gavin Newsom could have led the United States to civil war. This was announced on Monday, May 9, by US President Donald Trump.

The head of state was asked what he thought about Newsom's accusations of inciting a civil war after his decision to summon the National Guard.

"No, just the opposite. I don't want a civil war," the head of state said.

According to the American leader, he has a good relationship with the governor of California, but he is "terribly incompetent."

As indicated by the Reuters news agency, before the arrival of the main National Guard forces, the military will deploy 700 Marines in Los Angeles. They will perform auxiliary functions.

On the eve of May 8, mass protests began in California due to migration raids, during which 45 people were detained. After that, the American leader ordered the national Guard to be sent to the state to stop the riots. The governor of California, in turn, announced that he was suing Trump.
