Applications for the NGO grant competition have been accepted in Moscow. The city will allocate 600 million rubles to support socially oriented organizations, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"Moscow supports those who help others," Sobyanin stressed on the Telegram channel.

You can apply on the contest's website until July 3. Grants of up to 500,000 rubles are provided for young NGOs registered for six months or more. Organizations with more than a year's experience can receive up to 5 million rubles.

Since 2002, over 3.6 thousand projects have received grants, involving 10.5 million people. In 2024, a record number of organizations became winners — 262. Among them are the projects "Volunteers: Victory Mission", "Start your own business with Moscow" and "Choose friends!", which helps animals from shelters.

In total, more than 30 thousand are registered in the capital. NGOs, one third have a social orientation. The organizations help, in particular, people with disabilities, families in difficult situations, orphaned children, and members of the SVO, Sobyanin said earlier.
