It is specified that at one of the sites of the combat contact, the military personnel strive to complete the combat mission, despite bad weather and other conditions that could prevent them from achieving their goals and lead to unjustified losses.

According to Putin, he and the chief of the General Staff gave direct instructions to the division commander to refrain from carrying out these tasks, but the military did not want to accept the decree.

He stressed that the military "deliberately actually went to certain death."
