A flare of the highest class X was recorded in the Sun. This was announced on May 25 by the staff of the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FGBI "IGP") named after. Fedorova.
"On May 25, at 04:52 Moscow time, an X1.1 flash was registered in the X—ray range in the group of spots 4098 (S05W22)," the institute said in a statement.
It is noted that this cosmic phenomenon lasted 17 minutes.
