The damage to the budget exceeded 1 million 100 thousand rubles, the ministry said.

On April 21, the court of the capital sent Kursk ex-deputy Maxim Vasiliev to jail for two months. He will remain in custody until June 19. He is suspected of embezzling funds allocated for the construction of fortifications on the border with Ukraine (Part 5 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
