Moskalkova proposed to increase payments for combat veterans
Payments provided for military veterans should be increased. This was stated on May 14 by Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatiana Moskalkova during the All-Russian Coordinating Council of Commissioners for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
She noted that every month veterans receive 4,500 rubles, and this is extremely small.
"She (the monthly payment. — Ed.) is extremely small, disproportionate to the huge contribution that our soldiers have made to ensuring the security of our state," Moskalkova stressed.
The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation invited the members of the council to appeal to government agencies on the issue of increasing payments.
On April 24, the Russian Ministry of Defense put forward a proposal to extend a one-time payment of 400,000 rubles to soldiers serving in the Bryansk, Belgorod and Kursk regions and performing counterterrorism operations. The ministry clarified that fighters who signed a contract after August 9, 2024, will be able to count on payment.
