It can be dangerous to have conversations with scammers, even in a joking way, since attackers collect any information they receive to deceive. This was announced on May 11 by Alla Khrapunova, curator of the Moshelovka Popular Front platform.

"A joking conversation with a scammer, if you see through it from the first words, is extremely dangerous," she said in an interview with TASS.

According to experts, by the end of 2025, half of Russians may become victims of attacks using deepfakes. These attacks are based on real data, so you should not share personal information with scammers, she added. "Газета.Ru ".

Khrapunova urged citizens to quickly end conversations so as not to fall for the tricks of intruders.

On May 10, the Department for Combating the Illegal use of Information and Communication Technologies (UBK) of the Russian Interior Ministry reported that cases of fraudsters stealing personal data and money through a remote access application have become more frequent. The attackers pose as employees of Rosfinmonitoring, Gosuslug, or the police and impose a remote-controlled program on people, posing as an official one, in order to gain access to their devices.
