Belousov compared the struggle of the Russian Armed Forces against neo-Nazism with the feat of the people and the Red Army.

The victory of the Russian army over neo-Nazism will go down in history as equal to the feat of our people and army during the Great Patriotic War. Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov wrote about this in an article included in the collection of articles by members of the Russian Security Council dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

"Russian soldiers and officers are defending what their grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought for. The victory of the Russian people and their armed forces in the fight against neo—Nazism will go down in the history of the country as equal to the feat of the Soviet people and the army during the Great Patriotic War," Belousov wrote.

He stressed that now the servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces are doing everything to ensure the peaceful life of Russian citizens, and continue to consistently achieve the goals of the special operation. In 1945, victory was secured by the unity and cohesion of the people, the courage and heroism of its defenders.

"It will be the same now, because the history of our Fatherland teaches that as long as we are united, we are invincible. Victory will be ours!" concluded the Minister of Defense.
