Grand fireworks display in Moscow on May 9th: what time is it today, viewing platforms

On Friday, May 9, a grand celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will take place in Moscow. The celebration will end with a traditional fireworks display. Izvestia tells us what time the fireworks will start and from where the colorful show will be best seen.

The fireworks display begins at the same time every year — 22:00 Moscow time, and the year 2025 will be no exception. Muscovites and guests of the capital will be able to admire the colored lights in the sky for 10 minutes.

Fireworks are launched in several locations in Moscow so that all residents of the city can enjoy the holiday in a comfortable and safe environment. The largest show will be held on Poklonnaya Gora. It is most convenient to watch it at the Victory Park site. Several salute launch points will also be organized at VDNKh.

Observation points will appear in other locations as well. In the Central Administrative District, these are Gorky Park, Luzhnetskaya Embankment and the Hermitage Garden. The Southern Administrative District includes the 50th Anniversary of October Park and Admiral Lazarev Street in Yuzhny Butovo. There are Mitino and Severnoye Tushino parks in the North Caucasus Federal District. In the Central Administrative District — Izmailovsky Park and Sokolniki Park, in the Southern Administrative District — Kuzminki Park. In the Southern Administrative District — the embankment of the Moskva River on Borisovskie Prudy Street, and in the Southern Administrative District — Victory Park.
