The UK has opened a case on the fact of a UAV attack on an apartment building in Zvanoye, Kursk region.

The Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) has opened a criminal case into the attack of a Ukrainian UAV on an apartment building in the village of Zvanoe, Kursk region. This was announced on May 6 by the official representative of the department Svetlana Petrenko.

It was established that on April 30 of this year, Ukrainian servicemen attacked an apartment building in the village of Zvanoe, Kursk region, using an FPV drone with an explosive device. As a result, a man born in 1961 was injured, he received burns, and his house and garage were damaged.

Parts of a drone with inscriptions in Ukrainian and elements of an explosive device were found at the scene. An explosive technical examination has been appointed, and the amount of damage is also being determined.

"The actions of the Ukrainian militants have been qualified by the investigation as a terrorist act (paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine involved in this crime are being identified," Petrenko said.

On May 1, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on a terrorist attack on residential buildings in the city of Rylsk, Kursk region. It was established that on April 29, 2025, Ukrainian militants attacked civilian infrastructure facilities in Rylsk using drones. As a result of the incident, three civilians were injured, residential buildings and a kindergarten were also damaged.
