The Social Fund named the average pension in Russia

The average amount of social benefits for Russian pensioners in 2025 is just over 23 thousand rubles per month. This was reported on May 6 by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the Social Fund of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that in Russia, the average pension as of January 1 of this year was 23,175.17 rubles.

According to the Social Fund, more than 41 million pensioners are registered with the organization, while more than 33 million people receive insurance payments for old age, more than 2.1 million for disability, and about 1.5 million people due to loss of a breadwinner.

On April 27, Professor Vinogradov, Dean of the HSE Faculty of Law, told Russians about legal ways to increase their pensions. According to him, if a person files a pension five years after reaching retirement age, the coefficient of increase in the fixed payment will be 1.36, and the accrued points will be 1.45. But if you wait 10 years instead of five, then the coefficient and pension points can increase to 2.11 and 2.32 points, respectively.
