In Primorye, communication with six villages was disrupted due to precipitation

In Primorye, six settlements have been cut off from the mainland. Roads are flooded during the cyclone. Rains and active snowmelt in the north have led to waterlogging of the soil and overflow of water over roads.

The situation was discussed at a meeting with Governor Oleg Kozhemyako, the press service of the regional government told PrimaMedia news agency. According to the Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the region Alexander Zlatkin, flooding persists on 10 sections of roads. The water is almost gone, and the equipment is starting restoration work. Residents were provided with water and food, electricity was restored.

The situation in the Anuchinsky, Chuguevsky and Partizansky districts is the most difficult. In the Chuguevsky district, 33 house territories were flooded, there is no passage to Polynikha and Berezovka. Road repairs will begin as soon as the water finally subsides. Work has already begun on the road to Antonovka and Izyubryn.

The villages of Krasnoyarovka and Orlinoe have been cut off in the Anuchinsky district. In the Partizansky district, the water level on the Partizanskaya River has risen by more than 3 m, and driveways to the villages of Romanovsky Klyuch and Slinkino have been flooded. About seven passageways and bridges were washed away in the municipality. The settlements are provided with food, medicine and baby food.

The governor instructed to increase the use of prefabricated bridges and pipes, accelerate the clearing of riverbeds in order to reduce damage from future floods.

Earlier, on May 2, it was reported that automobile traffic was disrupted with 10 settlements in Primorye due to adverse weather conditions. On the Lazo – Zapovednoye road section, the Primavtodor carried out work on creating a water drain. The passage was closed to the settlements of Kievka, Benevskoye, Zapovednoye and Preobrazhenie until the end of the flood.
