An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 was recorded off the eastern coast of the Kingdom of Tonga in the Pacific Ocean, the Australian State Geological Bureau reported on April 30.

It is specified that the tremors were recorded at a depth of 30 km. The epicenter of the natural disaster was located in the ocean, 190 km from it was the capital of the state of Nuku'alofa with a population of more than 22 thousand people.

On April 27, an earthquake of magnitude 6.0 occurred in the South Pacific Ocean, west of Macquarie Island, which belongs to the Australian state of Tasmania. It is specified that the earthquake was recorded at 12:22 Moscow time. The hearth was located at a depth of 10 km. The epicenter of the seismic event was located 1,484 km south of Hobart, in the state of Tasmania in Australia.
