Fighters of the North group restored the damaged WWII monument in the Kursk region
Russian military personnel of the North group of forces carried out repairs to the damaged monument about the events of the Great Patriotic War in the Kursk region. This was announced on April 30 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"The military personnel of the marine brigade in one of the villages of the Kursk region carried out work on the restoration of a monument dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War. The restoration of the monument was carried out by military personnel of the 810th brigade, who arrived in the area on vacation," the ministry said.
In turn, the locals thanked the fighters for their help and the restoration of the monument.
On April 28, five militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were sentenced to up to 16 years for crimes in the Kursk region. It is specified that the defendants illegally invaded the territory of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region in order to carry out terrorist activities, as well as block and hold settlements. In addition, they intimidated the local population and prevented evacuation.
