Rahmi Karademir, a resident of Konya, Turkey, suffered a stroke at the age of 67 and after surgery began to speak Danish, which he had not used for many years. This was reported on April 25 by the Turkish Anadolu agency.

Karademir underwent knee surgery at the Orthopedic department of the Medical Faculty of Selcuk University. Two days after the medical intervention, the man's right arm and leg weakened. In addition, he had speech disorders.

After the diagnosis, the doctors found out that one of the arteries in the left side of the man's brain was blocked by a blood clot. As a result, doctors performed an operation and removed the blood clot.

According to the newspaper, after that, Karademir began to speak Danish, which he had not spoken for many years. It is specified that this came as a surprise to the man's family and friends.

"We noticed that the patient can no longer speak Turkish, but at the same time speaks Danish fluently, in the language that we thought he had forgotten. The medical literature describes rare cases when people who speak several languages forget one language as a result of a stroke, while the other is suddenly activated," the publication quotes Professor Gokhan Ozdemir, head of the Department of Neurology at Selcuk University Hospital.

The doctor also predicted that the man would speak Turkish again in the near future, added "Газета.Ru ".

Earlier, on March 8, Turkish blogger "mukbanga" Efekan Kultury died from overeating fast food at the age of 24. The man filmed "mukbang" videos (videos in which people eat food in large quantities) and thus was able to gain 156 thousand subscribers on the TikTok social network.
