More than 92 countries have confirmed their participation in SPIEF 2025


Over 92 countries and territories confirmed their participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) two months before the event. This figure is 5% higher than last year's figure for the same period. The Roscongress Foundation announced this on April 23.
"Currently, more than 92 countries and territories have confirmed their participation in the SPIEF. This clearly demonstrates the increasing global importance of the Forum as a leading platform for the formation of new economic ties in a multipolar world," Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee, was quoted on the foundation's official website.
He also noted the active participation of countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The guest of the event will be the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is an important partner of Russia in the Middle East.
The Forum will be held from June 18 to 21, 2025 in St. Petersburg. Its main theme will be "Shared values — the basis for growth in a multipolar world." The forum's program will include four areas:: "Economics of development: ensuring growth", "Technology: striving for leadership", "Environment for life" and "Man in a new world".
During the SPIEF, 15 bilateral business dialogues will be organized with partners from Armenia, Africa, Bahrain, Vietnam, the EU, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Latin America, Moldova, Mongolia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, as well as the EAEU —ASEAN. The talks will focus on trade and economic cooperation, as well as global challenges.
Earlier, on April 19, Mexican Ambassador to Moscow Eduardo Villegas announced that the country's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) was considering the possibility of participating in the SPIEF. It is specified that last year the Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a number of agreements at the forum.
