Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin pointed out the importance of advanced technologies in passenger shipbuilding during a meeting with Andrian Pravdin, CEO of NPC Morsvyazautomatika, on April 17.

Mishustin noted that one of the key areas of production now is the development of domestic shipbuilding, including passenger shipbuilding.

"There is a niche partially occupied by hydrofoils, and they play a significant role in coastal life and in the tourism industry. It is especially important that such projects are built on the basis of advanced technologies that are environmentally friendly," he stressed.

According to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, first of all, we are talking about electric transport, gas stations and other related infrastructure.

In December last year, Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center (NRC), said that the development of new technologies for shipbuilding was a priority in the marine industry. He added that attention will also be paid to the development of new Arctic materials and the creation of innovative nuclear energy technologies.
