The White House announced the agreement of the Russian Federation and the United States to exclude the use of force in the Black Sea.

During the talks in Riyadh, Russia and the United States agreed to ensure safe navigation, exclude the use of force and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea. The corresponding statement was published on the White House website on March 25.

"The United States and Russia will continue to work to achieve a lasting and lasting peace," the statement said.

Also at the meeting, the parties agreed to develop measures to implement the agreement on the prohibition of attacks on energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine. America will continue to facilitate negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine with a view to a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Earlier on March 25, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that first of all, issues of safe navigation in the Black Sea were discussed at the talks between the Russian and American delegations in Riyadh.

The minister noted that this is not the first attempt. He recalled that the first one was undertaken in July 2022, when UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed on a common package with representatives of Russian and Ukrainian structures.
