The results of Ferrari drivers Charles Leclair and Lewis Hamilton at the Chinese Formula 1 Grand Prix have been annulled. This was announced on March 23 in the International Automobile Federation (FIA), the corresponding post was published on the official page of the organization on the social network X (former. Twitter).

"After technical checks after the race, three cars were disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix," the statement said.

It is noted that Leclair's car, which took fifth place, weighs less than the regulations dictate: 799 kg with the required 800 kg. Alpine rider Pierre Gasly, who finished 11th, was also disqualified for a similar violation.

The decision to cancel Hamilton's result (sixth place) was made due to severe wear on the sliding bar under the bottom of the car. So, the Ferrari team lost 18 points in the overall standings.

The Chinese Grand Prix was held on Sunday and ended with the victory of the Australian McLaren team driver Oscar Piastri.

The day before, Piastri won pole position for the first time in his career in qualifying for the second stage of the Formula 1 championship, the Chinese Grand Prix. The driver scored the best lap in 1 minute 30.641 seconds.
