New Valdai 18 trucks have been launched in Russia

Production of the new Valdai 18 bonnetless truck has started in Nizhny Novgorod. It is designed for short- and medium-haul transportation, public utilities, and solving various economic and business tasks in an urban environment. This is stated in the message of the company "Modern Transport Technologies" (CTT), which was received by Izvestia on March 20.
The Nizhny Novgorod Trucks company is engaged in the production of the truck. The new model of the Valdai family is produced in a full cycle (welding, painting, assembly) together with the already well-known Valdai 45 model.
With a gross weight of 18 tons, the vehicle has a load capacity of up to 12.2 tons. The wheelbase can vary from 4.8 to 6.1 m at the request of the customer, depending on the required add-ons. When choosing the longest wheelbase, the maximum length of the van will be 8.7 m, which makes it possible to accommodate 20 standard Euro pallets in the body.
In the basic configuration, the Valdai 18 is equipped with a rear air suspension, the power plant consists of a Euro-5 diesel 6.7-liter engine with a capacity of 261 hp (956 Nm) and an 8-speed manual transmission. The manufacturer calls the volume of the fuel tank (450 liters) the largest in this class of cars.
Other advantages of the new product include ease of boarding and disembarking, a wide glazing area and a set of six mirrors, air conditioning, an autonomous heater and multilayer thermal insulation, a sprung driver's seat with four adjustment directions, a steering column with two-plane adjustment, a full-fledged sleeping place, a folding table, a large number of niches, shelves and drawers for storing personal belongings. and hooks for clothes.
