Russia's FSB detained a resident of the Dzhankoy district of Crimea for treason

Law enforcement officers detained a 28-year-old resident of the Dzhankoy district of the Republic of Crimea, who was collecting, storing and transmitting information to the Ukrainian side regarding military installations of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of the peninsula. This was announced on March 20 by the Office of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

It is clarified that a woman in one Ukrainian Telegram channel, which is used by the Main intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, offered her services in collecting information about the locations of military airfields, air defense systems and special equipment, coordinates of military transportation and other information for missile strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

On the instructions of the curator, the woman traveled to the specified places and photographed the objects located there, and she also proactively sent information to the Ukrainian special services about the movement of railway trains carrying out military transportation.

"The Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has opened a criminal case against a resident of Crimea under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"). <...> A preventive measure has been chosen in the form of detention," the press service of the department informed.

On March 11, FSB officers detained a resident of the Belgorod region who planned to commit a terrorist attack in the city of Valuiki and poison military personnel. It was established that the 49-year-old man, on his own initiative, established contact with representatives of a recognized terrorist organization in the Russian Federation.
