In Kamchatka, five hospital construction workers poisoned by chemical vapors

In Kamchatka five builders of the hospital were poisoned by chemical vapors. This was reported on February 9 by the prosecutor's office of the Karaginsky region on its official website.

"The Prosecutor's office of the Karaginsky district organized an inspection on the fact of poisoning of workers carrying out the construction of the Karaginsky district hospital", - informed the press service of the agency.

It is specified that five builders during fireproofing treatment of metal structures were poisoned by vapors of a chemical substance. The workers were hospitalized.

The Prosecutor's office is conducting an inspection on the fact of poisoning of workers, which will establish the circumstances of the incident, assess compliance with sanitary and epidemiological legislation and rules of labor protection at work.

Earlier, on December 28, 2024, in the town of Sertolovo, Vsevolozhsk district, Leningrad region, two workers at a construction site were poisoned by an unknown substance and died. It was established that one of the deceased worked at the site for about two weeks, and his colleague came to the construction site two days before his death. Previously, both men were convicted.
