Members of the U.S. Democratic Party are talking about the forthcoming impeachment of President Donald Trump to resonate in the media and support the negative image of the Republican Party in the media. This opinion was expressed by Konstantin Blokhin, a leading researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an American political scientist, on Thursday, February 6, explaining the statements about plans to impeach the head of the White House.

Earlier in the day, Democratic House of Representatives member Al Green said that he intends to initiate impeachment proceedings against Trump, RT reported. The politician emphasized that the current White House master deserved to resign with his policy towards the Gaza Strip - he proposed to relocate Palestinians from the region and turn it into a "Middle Eastern Riviera", reports NSN.

He noted that this third attempt to impeach Trump with a hundred percent guarantee is doomed to failure.

"Impeachment is possible with the consensus of the elites: the position against the President must take both the Republican and Democratic parties. That consensus does not exist. The Democrats, who lost, hate Trump, while the Republicans are standing up for Trump. Moreover, the Republicans have a majority in Congress," Blokhin emphasized in a conversation with Lenta.Ru.

He added that the only purpose of this initiative is to support the anti-Trump discourse in media space.

Earlier, on February 4, Trump proposed to resettle refugees from the Gaza Strip to more livable places, such as Egypt or Jordan, according to the website kp.ru.

At the same time, the Associated Press (AP) reported that protests against Trump's first executive orders could take place in some US states. According to the publication, protesters have created several websites and accounts in social networks.

Before that, on January 20, immediately after the inauguration, Trump signed more than 200 new decrees. Among them - the introduction of a state of emergency on the border with Mexico. In addition, the American president repeatedly stated that he was going to cancel the granting of American citizenship by birthright.
