This opinion was expressed by Konstantin Blokhin, a leading researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an American political scientist, on Thursday, February 6, explaining the statements about plans to impeach the head of the White House.

Earlier in the day, Democratic House of Representatives member Al Green said that he intends to initiate impeachment proceedings against Trump, RT reported. The politician emphasized that the current White House master deserved to resign with his policy towards the Gaza Strip - he proposed to relocate Palestinians from the region and turn it into a "Middle Eastern Riviera", reports NSN.

He noted that this third attempt to impeach Trump with a hundred percent guarantee is doomed to failure.

"Impeachment is possible with the consensus of the elites: the position against the President must take both the Republican and Democratic parties. That consensus does not exist. The Democrats, who lost, hate Trump, while the Republicans are standing up for Trump. Moreover, the Republicans have a majority in Congress," Blokhin emphasized in a conversation with Lenta.Ru.

He added that the only purpose of this initiative is to support the anti-Trump discourse in media space.
