The Government amended the procedure for awarding pensions to LNR and DNR volunteers
The government has prepared amendments on the application-free procedure for awarding disability pensions to volunteers of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics who suffered on the battlefield. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on February 6.
Mishustin recalled that earlier the government has developed a bill to support militiamen of the DNR and LNR, who were injured on the battlefield, under which it is implied to receive two pensions at the same time: one for old age or seniority, and the other for disability.
"The bill was passed by the State Duma last week in the first reading. For the second, amendments have been prepared, which we will consider today. They suggest that the participants of volunteer formations, who suffered on the battlefield, disability pension will be assigned in a non-applicable order," - said the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
According to him, such an approach is already provided for members of military formations by the draft law. People will not have to submit any documents to social protection agencies, all information will be contained in the state information system.
Earlier, January 23, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Russian government will allocate 11.3 billion rubles to the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund. He noted that the funds will be allocated from the federal budget on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. They will be allocated for lump-sum payments to participants of the SWO, who were wounded, resulting in the onset of disability.
Earlier, on December 19, 2024, during the "Results of the Year", the Russian president pointed out that the state fund "Defenders of the Fatherland", which provides assistance to veterans of the SVO and family members of fallen fighters, has become a separate instrument to support the military.
