A participant of the first stream of the program "Time of Heroes", holder of three Orders of Courage Alexander Tikhonov has been appointed Deputy Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District (Volga Federal District). This was reported on January 28 on the website of the project.

It is reported that during internships Tikhonov worked on the development of patriotic direction and dealt with the adaptation of special operation participants. According to Igor Komarov, presidential envoy to the Volga Federal District, Tikhonov familiarized himself with the peculiarities of state administration, as well as with the socio-economic and socio-political situation of the regions of the federal district.

"I immersed myself in the work of the apparatus, we discussed together the prospects for the development of regional and district patriotic projects. Special attention was paid to the implementation of regional analogues of the federal program "Time of Heroes". I conducted lessons of courage in the regions and intend to continue this practice in the future," Tikhonov said about his work.

In his new position, he will work to support special operation participants and their families, which, according to him, is of particular importance in the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.

Tikhonov was born in Chuvashia. He graduated from the Kazan Higher Artillery Command School in 2005 and from the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy in 2019, Gazeta.Ru added.

The launch of the "Time of Heroes" program was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his address to the Federal Assembly on February 29, 2024. The Russian leader specified that the participants of the special operation will be given the opportunity to enter leading universities and get a civilian specialty as a priority.

The "Time of Heroes" personnel program is aimed at training leaders to work in state and municipal authorities from the participants of the special operation in Ukraine.

On 24 January, Kremlin spokesman Dmitriy Peskov said that the "Time of Heroes" program was effective and would be continued.
