Fourth child died in Krasnoyarsk region after poisoning
The fourth child from the family, which was poisoned by a toxic substance, died in Krasnoyarsk Krai. This was reported to "Izvestia" on September 23 in the regional Prosecutor's office.
"Tonight the fourth, 12-year-old child died," - stated in the message.
On the eve in the Main Department of the Investigative Committee (GUSU SK) of Russia in the region and the Republic of Khakassia said that the cause of poisoning of the family in Krasnoyarsk region, which ate dumplings and chicken for dinner, was an unidentified toxic substance. It added that additional research will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.
The poisoning of a family with four children in the village of Krasnaya Sopka in Krasnoyarsk Krai was reported on September 21. The family sought medical help at the hospital with signs of nausea and vomiting. As a result of a sharp deterioration of health, the minor brother and sister died. Later on September 22, a third child died. The adults were hospitalized in serious condition.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, storage or sale of goods and products that do not meet the safety requirements of life or health of consumers, resulting in the death of two persons by negligence").
The State Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region said that the products, which are believed to have poisoned the family, were bought in one of the stores in the village, its owner was questioned and the products were seized. The agency said that the mother of the dead children is nine months pregnant.
According to Izvestiya's source, the family members may have mistakenly consumed pesticides, confusing them with seasoning.
