In the Rostov region, 172 private houses were left without power supply due to damage to a transformer substation. The incident in the Myasnikovsky district was reported on October 24 by the head of the region, Yuri Slyusar.

According to the governor, the cause of the accident in Kalinin village was the fall of the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle. As a result of the incident, the substation's equipment was damaged, which led to a power outage in the residential sector.

"An emergency team is working at the site. Work is underway to restore power supply," Yuri Slyusar said in the Maks messenger.

Information about the victims of falling debris is not provided in the message of the head of the region. Specialists began to eliminate the consequences of the technical failure immediately after assessing the scale of the damage.

In total, over 80 unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted over the region overnight. According to Slyusar, the drones were shot down in Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, as well as in Verkhnedonsky, Bokovsky, Millerovsky, Kasharsky, Sholokhovsky, Milyutinsky, Chertkovsky, Azovsky and Myasnikovsky districts of the region.
