Trump predicted a sharp drop in oil prices
On October 23, US President Donald Trump announced that oil prices would soon collapse.
"Oil prices will fall sharply soon. They are declining very significantly," he said at a campaign rally in Florida.
The head of the White House admitted that after the start of the US military operation against Iran in February this year, the cost of fuel reached record levels. At the same time, Trump stressed that today the situation in the markets has significantly stabilized compared to the situation seven or eight months ago.
According to the President, the decision to stabilize the situation was made during consultations with key members of the administration. Trump mentioned that he had discussed the issue with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, Commerce Secretary Howard Latnick, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President Jay Dee Vance.
"We had a meeting, and I said, 'It's time for us to stop,'" Trump concluded.
On October 22, Trump said that Iran was trying to raise oil prices ahead of the midterm elections in the United States. The American leader called Iran's political leadership a "truly villainous regime" and expressed hope that the American public and the whole world would understand "how evil they are."
