Corporal Rozhnev saved the life of a wounded colleague under drone fire

The senior rifleman of the motorized rifle unit, Corporal Georgy Rozhnev, saved a colleague who stepped on an enemy explosive device and received severe mine-explosive wounds under drone fire. On October 21, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation.

Rozhnev was at an observation post when he noticed the explosion of a colleague. The incident occurred during a reconnaissance of the area by a UAV crew: one of the Russian soldiers stepped on an explosive device.

The fighter reported the situation to the commander and called an evacuation group. Despite the threat from the air, he moved forward to the injured paratrooper, dragged him to a safe place and provided first aid. The corporal stayed with the wounded man until the arrival of medics, maintaining his stable condition, which allowed saving the soldier's life.

The ministry also noted the actions of the senior gunner of the mortar platoon, Corporal Ilgiz Zianchurin. During his service, he promptly detected the passage of several enemy drones. With small arms fire, Zianchurin shot down two aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), preventing casualties among personnel and damage to equipment.

Later, when another drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked civilians, the corporal took part in the aftermath of the strike. Zianchurin organized the extinguishing of the fire and provided first aid to the injured residents. Thanks to his actions, the evacuation of the wounded to the city hospital was organized, which helped to avoid the death of people and the spread of fire to neighboring buildings.
