Ryabkov allowed a new round of consultations between Russia and the United States before the end of the year

A new round of consultations between Russia and the United States on eliminating mutual irritants in relations may take place before the end of 2026. This was announced on October 13 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov to reporters on the sidelines of the Federation Council.

"Recently, there was another round on irritants. In fact, there are no dates now, but the next one will take place before the end of the year," Ryabkov said.

According to the diplomat, the meetings of the Russian and American delegations have brought certain results, although there are no significant breakthroughs yet. Ryabkov noted that the parties were able to prepare groundwork that will be used during the next round of negotiations.

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister also commented on the possibility of holding a trilateral meeting between Russia, the United States and Ukraine. He said that there are no specific agreements on this issue yet.

At the same time, Ryabkov stressed that the prospects for such a meeting largely depend on the position of countries with influence on Kiev. In his opinion, it will not be possible to achieve progress on this issue without appropriate pressure on the Ukrainian side.
