The police detained the Land Cruiser driver who caused a massive accident.
Metropolitan police officers brought to administrative responsibility the driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser, who fled the scene of the accident. This was announced on October 9 at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow.
"The culprit fled the scene, but the staff of the Traffic police Department of the Department of Internal Affairs in the Southern Administrative District conducted search operations and identified him. It turned out to be a 19-year-old young man," the police wrote on the Maks messenger.
Later, the driver arrived at the traffic police department on his own and admitted his guilt. He explained his decision to leave the scene of the accident by saying that he was afraid of the possible consequences.
Administrative protocols have been drawn up against him under Part 2 of Article 12.27 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Leaving the scene of an accident by the driver") and Part 4 of Article 12.15 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Entering the lane of oncoming traffic in violation of traffic regulations").

In total, six vehicles became involved in the incident. The fugitive driver was put on the wanted list.
