A protest march of trade unions has ended in Paris.

A multi-kilometer march of trade union representatives has ended in Paris. Footage of the September 29 event is published by Izvestia.

Smoke from pyrotechnics after the actions enveloped the Nation Square in the city. However, some of the participants have not yet left the streets.

"Now the demonstration has already reached the Nation Square — this is the final point of today's march. <...> Despite several hours of marching, people do not disperse and continue to chant their demands," said Anastasia Rikeza, a correspondent for Izvestia.

In the published footage, residents of Paris are standing with flags, posters and protest slogans on the streets of the city. Trade union members are demanding higher salaries, indexation of payments adjusted for inflation, and full sick pay. Firefighters also claim a shortage of personnel and equipment and demand better working conditions.

A wave of protests swept Paris on the same day. Civil servants, firefighters and other trade union members took to the streets. The demonstrators demanded to unfreeze the index affecting wages, as well as to achieve a reduction in inflation. More than 3,000 law enforcement officers were deployed to ensure order in the French capital.
