In northern India, more than 50 people died due to heavy rains

In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, 56 people died and 46 others were injured due to heavy rains. Heavy rains have hit most of the region and caused widespread destruction. This was reported on September 27 by the Times of India newspaper.

107 animals were also killed and 1,021 houses were damaged due to bad weather. The greatest damage to residential buildings was recorded in Hardoi and Sitapura. In 48 hours, an average of 66.5 mm of precipitation fell in the state with a norm of 7.6 mm, which is 775% higher than the average. A significant excess of the norm was recorded in 56 of the 75 districts.
