Lukashenko congratulates Armenia on Independence Day and urges to value friendship

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated about the preservation of friendly relations between Minsk and Yerevan and stressed the importance of relations between the two countries. This was announced by the press service of the Belarusian leader on September 21.

"Minsk and Yerevan are united not only by common pages of history, but also by sincere sympathy between people, which is a solid foundation for an open and constructive partnership," Lukashenko is quoted as saying on the press service's website.

Lukashenko stressed that in the context of modern challenges, time-tested relationships are of particular value. He also noted the importance of the 35th anniversary of Armenia's sovereignty as a symbol of the people's desire for independent development and preservation of national culture.
