- The Russian army struck ships with "Geraniums" in the port of Odessa and in the waters of the Black Sea
The Russian army hit a dry cargo ship in the Black Sea and a tanker in the port of Odessa with "Geran-4 Seeker" unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which were used to transport military cargo of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published footage of the strikes on September 19.
"The drone crews have worked on a dry cargo ship and a tanker involved in the delivery of military goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the port of Odessa," the ministry said in a statement.
The footage shows how calculations of unmanned systems target ships in the port of Odessa and in the waters of the Black Sea. It is reported that the cargo ship was moving to the port to deliver cargo to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"The "Geranium" military cargo is being burned along with the ships," the Defense Ministry added.
On September 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian military personnel had attacked two dry cargo ships that were transporting military supplies to support the Armed Forces. The strikes were carried out using drones of the "Geran-4 Seeker" model.
