Kiriyenko was presented with the banner of the "Terek" reconnaissance brigade with Putin's signature

On September 15, First Deputy head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko received a copy of the battle banner of the "Terek" Cossack reconnaissance brigade with the personal signature of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

The ceremony took place at the stand of the Russian Cossacks as part of the International Youth Festival (IFM-2026) in Yekaterinburg. The banner of the "Terek" brigade was signed by the head of state in July last year. After that, it was transferred to the unit and is being used by fighters in the area of a special military operation.

The All-Russian Cossack Society has produced several copies of the banner, which are presented as memorable gifts to government officials and public figures. This symbolizes the contribution of the brigade's fighters to the defense of the country.

The "Terek" Cossack reconnaissance brigade was established in 2023. """"""""Terek" "Skif", "Kaspiy", "Baltika", "Grebensky" battalions, artillery division and Normandy—Neman division, it unites several units.

More than 2,000 representatives of different nationalities and faiths serve in the brigade.

On September 13, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Sergey Pershin noted the importance of promoting Cossack culture. He stressed that at the IFM-2026 they made an effective stand that popularizes Cossack culture as an element of the large cultural canvas of the Russian Federation, including among foreigners.

Pershin also spoke about the experience of interacting with the All-Russian Cossack Society. In his opinion, it is young people who need to develop Cossack culture. Pershin noted that as a result of joint work with the All-Russian Cossack Society, it was possible to create videos that have gained almost 30 million views on various social media.
