The Houthis announced an attack by Saudi planes on Moha airport in Yemen.
Saudi aircraft carried out two strikes at the international airport of the city of Moha in the province of Taiz in southwestern Yemen. This was reported on September 10 by the Saba agency controlled by the Houthi movement.
"In recent hours, Saudi Arabian warplanes have carried out airstrikes on the provinces of Taiz," the publication says.
In total, 18 strikes were recorded in the province of Taiz, the targets of which, in addition to the airport, were the districts of Mauza, Makbana and Mocha Junction. According to the Houthis, quoted by Yes Punjab News, the total number of coalition airstrikes in the provinces of Taiz, Hodeidah, Al-Jawf and Marib ranged from 40 to 55 over the past 24 hours.
In addition to Taiz, other regions of the country were also subjected to air attacks. According to the Anadolu Agency, 10 strikes were carried out in the province of Al-Jawf, nine in Hodeidah and three in the province of Marib. The city of Mokha, which became one of the targets of the attack, is of strategic importance for regional security. According to the Livemint publication, the settlement is located about 80 km from the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.
The New York Times reported on September 10 that the Houthis had taken control of the strategically important port city of Moha on the Red Sea coast as part of a large-scale offensive in Yemen. Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a representative of the Houthi political wing, said that the movement seeks to restore Yemen's sovereignty, not to seize new territories.
