The State Duma recalled the autumn indexation of salaries of military and security officials by 4%

Starting from October 1, 2026, salaries of military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies will be indexed by 4%. Pensions of military retirees will increase by the same percentage, State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, deputy chairman of the Control Committee Georgy Kamnev said on September 9.

"The size of the October indexation in 2026 will be 4% and will affect military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies — that is, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosgvardiya, FSB, FSIN, Customs Service and the State Fire Service," Kamnev said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, starting in November, it is planned to recalculate the additional payments to pensions for former pilots and miners. The amount of the increase will depend on employers' insurance premiums, special seniority and average monthly earnings. The recalculation will be carried out automatically, you will not need to contact the Social Fund for this.

At the same time, Kamnev clarified that an application must be submitted for the initial appointment of such an additional payment.

"If a former pilot or miner has never applied for an additional payment, this can be done at any time, but it will begin to be counted from the day of the request," the deputy concluded.

Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, announced on August 29 that insurance pensions in Russia in 2027 should be indexed on February 1 and April 1. The amount of the second increase will depend on the capabilities of the budget of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation. The MP noted that this is a general rule, but the authorities can make individual decisions. So, in 2026, the indexation of insurance pensions was carried out not in two stages, but from January 1 — at a level above inflation.
