The actress admitted that she had already managed to get married and divorced, and almost no one knew about the marriage. Now 24-year-old Starshova is far from the usual image of a child star: she is engaged in figure skating, performs in ice shows and no longer associates her future with cinema. The girl got on the set thanks to classes at the children's center. There she studied dancing, vocals, art writing and acting. At one of the performances, she was noticed and offered to try her hand at casting. After several stages, Starshova was approved for the role of Button.

Filming lasted for several years and occupied a significant part of her childhood. In addition to working on the playground, Starshova continued to study and practice figure skating. Despite the huge popularity of "Daddy's Daughters," Starshova did not pursue a further career in cinema. After school, she chose a completely different direction. The girl was seriously interested in chemistry and biology and initially dreamed of becoming a doctor.

In 2019, Starshova entered the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine at Moscow State University. However, she later decided not to continue her studies. As the actress herself said, she really had an interest in medicine, but over time she realized that she did not see herself in her chosen specialty.

Figure skating, which Starshova has been involved in since early childhood, turned out to be much more important in the end. Her parents are associated with this sport, and Ekaterina first started skating at the age of three. At the same time, as a child, she did not set herself the task of becoming a professional athlete: figure skating remained one of her many hobbies for a long time.

After leaving the cinema, Starshova returned to ice training and began performing in ice shows. Subsequently, she began touring, including outside of Russia. The actress also admitted that she worked for about two years in a Turkish circus, where she also skated. According to her, it is on the ice that she can vent her accumulated emotions and feels comfortable.

For the actress, it became more of an opportunity to meet with former colleagues again and temporarily return to the period from which her fame began. At the same time, it turned out to be difficult to combine filming with her main activity: Starshova spends a lot of time on tour with ice shows and lives far from the usual Russian television schedule.

Today, her life is noticeably different from the one that viewers are used to seeing on the screen. Instead of film sets, there was ice, instead of a child's role that defined her public image, there was an independent life and work in a different direction. At the same time, Starshova herself is no longer trying to completely distance herself from Pugovka. If in adolescence she perceived this image as a limitation, now she considers it a part of her own past and one of her achievements.
