The court recovered 1.5 million rubles from the employer for the illegal dismissal of the Petersburger

A resident of St. Petersburg secured the payment of 1.5 million rubles after his dismissal was declared illegal. The amount includes the average earnings for almost a year of forced absenteeism and compensation for moral damage. This was announced on August 26 by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service (GUFSSP) in St. Petersburg.

"The bailiffs of St. Petersburg recovered 1.5 million rubles in favor of the Petersburger for forced absenteeism, which amounted to almost a year. The machine—building enterprise was prompted to comply with the court's decision by the ban on registration actions in relation to trucks and passenger cars," the statement on the agency's website says.

It is reported that the 43-year-old man previously worked as a deputy technical director at a machine-building enterprise. In December 2024, he was fired for absenteeism, but in court he proved that he had previously agreed on a day off with his immediate supervisor.

The key proof was an audio recording of the conversation. It followed that the boss allowed the employee to be absent, suggested the wording of the statement and promised to send it to the HR department. The court found that the employee had not been warned that the time off had not been agreed upon at the CEO level, and declared the dismissal illegal.

After the decision came into force, the employer did not transfer the money voluntarily. Bailiffs have banned registration actions with trucks and cars of the company. After that, the company paid the entire amount awarded, and the enforcement proceedings were completed.

The GUFSSP added that since the beginning of the year, St. Petersburg bailiffs have collected more than 137 million rubles of salary arrears in favor of 544 employees.

The girl also stated that representatives of the store tried to intimidate her with messages about her possible suicide.
