A German Lynx tank from the Second World War was found in the Kaliningrad region.

A German Lynx tank from World War II has been discovered in the Kaliningrad region. This was announced on August 24 by the governor of the region Alexey Besprozvannykh.

"The full name of the car is Panzerkampfwagen II Ausführung L "Luchs" ("Lynx"). This is a German light tank developed in 1940-1942 by Daimler-Benz and MAN," he wrote on the Maks messenger.

According to him, about a hundred such machines were produced during the war years. Currently, only two fully preserved specimens are known in the world — in French Saumur and British Bovington.

The tank found in the Kaliningrad region turned out to be almost fully equipped: the turret, armament and its shoulder straps were preserved.

On August 18, a German tank Pz.Kpfw was discovered on the territory of Kazan National Research Technological University. V "Panther", which was presumably used by Soviet scientists to conduct experimental work.
