Dentists in Russia will be required to use anesthesia at risk of pain

New rules for dental care will come into force in Russia on October 1. Dentists will have to apply anesthesia if the performed medical manipulations can cause pain in the patient. This was reported on August 24 by RIA Novosti with reference to the relevant document of the Ministry of Health.

It is indicated that procedures within the framework of dental care that can lead to pain should be performed with anesthesia. The new requirements are aimed at making treatment more comfortable for patients.

The changes also affect the list of specialists who will be able to provide adults with primary pre-medical care for dental diseases. It includes dental paramedics and hygienists, dental technicians, paramedics and dentists.

In addition, dental departments and offices should be provided with the necessary medicines and medical devices to provide emergency care for anaphylactic shock.
