Ryabkov announced the preservation of Moscow's principled position on Ukraine
Russia remains open to dialogue with the United States on the Ukrainian issue, but this does not mean that Moscow will abandon its principled positions. This was announced on August 21 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
According to him, Moscow is ready to listen to Washington's new proposals for a peaceful settlement, which were previously discussed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He also expressed the opinion that time is working against Kiev and the EU countries.
"We remain open to dialogue with Washington, but this does not mean that we will abandon our principled positions," Ryabkov said in an interview with News.ru .
On August 12, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, indicated that Russia's special military operation in Ukraine would be suspended or ended exclusively on Russian terms. He also noted that relations with the West will change little with the termination or suspension of the special operation.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on July 27 that Russia was calling on the United States to "clarify" the situation with the agreements reached at the Anchorage summit before putting forward new ideas for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
