Unmanned vehicles will appear in an experimental mode in five or six more regions of Russia. This was announced on August 16 by the Minister of Transport Andrey Nikitin.
"We will try to do this for another five or six subjects and build up a sufficient base there," the minister said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a journalist at the Vesti news agency.
Unmanned trams and metro trains are already being tested in Moscow and St. Petersburg. According to Nikitin, expanding the geography of the experiment will allow us to build a base for further implementation throughout the country.
On August 9, tests of a train with a fourth-level unmanned control system began in Russia. Testing is taking place at the Swallow on the Moscow Central Ring.
