Star Wars actor Nick Joseph has died.

British actor Nick Joseph, known for his roles in Star Wars and Doctor Who, has died at the age of 73. This was reported by the Daily Mail on August 15.

Joseph is best known for his role as Major Archul Heckstrophone in the movie Star Wars. Episode IV: A New Hope." In the final scene of the film, his character participated in the award ceremony for the main characters.

The actor regularly attended themed events for fans around the world and planned to take part in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the franchise in 2027.

"I can't believe I lost my best friend. It suffocates me to think how excited he was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Wars," said his close friend Rick Stanley.

In addition to his work in the space saga, Joseph starred as an armory officer in the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me (1977). The artist's latest work was the role of Bert the milkman in the British television series Eastenders in 2019. During his career, he also took part in the filming of the TV series Doctor Who.
