Students were told about the impact of a behavior assessment on admission to the GIA

Assessment for behavior will not affect the admission of students to the state final assessment (GIA) and is not a disciplinary measure. This was announced on August 15 by Olga Koludarova, Deputy Minister of Education of Russia.

"The assessment of behavior should become an understandable tool for the development of a child's personality, and not an additional punishment. Therefore, our task is to work out the approved assessment model, understand its limitations and conditions," the press service of the Ministry of Education quotes her on its website.

It clarifies that behavior will be assessed on three levels: "exemplary behavior", "acceptable behavior" and "unacceptable behavior". The system will take into account four main criteria, including 10 indicators.

At the same time, the assessment for behavior is set separately from academic performance, and is not taken into account in the current assessment and interim assessment.

The authors of the Federal State Educational Standard talked about how the program will change in grades 4-9.

On August 13, Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov announced that dispute resolution commissions would be established in all Russian schools by September 1. Parents will be able to apply to special commissions if they do not agree with the decisions of the educational institution, including the assessment for behavior. According to the head of the Ministry of Education, we are talking about commissions that consider disagreements between participants in the educational process.
