"The Latin letter "P" is still used on road signs to indicate parking — from English parking. But the Russian language has its own native letter "P". It's time to replace the Latin alphabet with Cyrillic on all parking signs," Panes said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the deputy, such a replacement will make the road signs more appropriate to the Russian language environment and will help popularize the use of Cyrillic.

Panes noted that the appearance of the sign will remain recognizable to drivers, as its color and shape will remain. He added that road signs are also part of the public space and should comply with the policy of supporting the Russian language.
