Golikova named the regions with the highest birth rate in Russia

The Chechen Republic and the Republic of Tuva are the regions with the highest fertility rates in Russia. This was announced on August 14 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova during a working trip to Chelyabinsk, where she visited the South Ural State Medical University and met with the commanders of the student groups of the Clinic project.

"There are regions where expanded reproduction is provided — this is the Chechen Republic, the Republic of Tyva," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

As Golikova emphasized, at the same time, in a number of regions of the Ural Federal District, the birth rate remains below the national average.

On the same day, Golikova noted that the demographic situation in Russia remains difficult, but is under control. She added that the Sverdlovsk Region's total fertility rate is 7% ahead of the Russian average.
