The governor of the Sakhalin region told Putin about the average salary in the region

The average salary in the Sakhalin region is about 150 thousand rubles. This was announced on August 13 by the governor of the region, Valery Limarenko, to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The governor clarified that the median salary in the region is approximately 110 thousand rubles, since the average figure takes into account both high and low incomes.

"Officially, the average salary is 150 [thousand rubles]. But that's if you add up the rich and the poor. Here is the median, which is approximately 110 [thousand rubles]. That is, this is what most people get," Limarenko said.

According to him, the incomes of certain categories of workers are higher. In particular, doctors on average receive more than 150 thousand rubles, teachers also have a high level of remuneration. The salary of nurses, as the governor noted, is about 90 thousand rubles.

The Russian leader personally visited the Kuril Islands for the first time on August 13.
