Pakistan's Defense minister pointed to progress in U.S.-Iran talks
Washington and Tehran are close to concluding some kind of peace agreement. This was announced on August 11 by Pakistani Defense Minister Khoja Asif.
"The situation is again developing in favor of a peace agreement or a deal. The signals of the last two or three days indicate that we are close to some kind of agreement," Asif said in an interview with Bloomberg.
At the same time, it is noted that Pakistan has been acting as an intermediary between the United States and Iran since the beginning of the war in the Middle East.
The day before, the Reuters news agency noted that the United States could lift the blockade of Iran's ports after reaching an agreement on unhindered navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. It is noted that all subsequent actions of the American side will be related to Iran's fulfillment of obligations.
